Hello,

I am really !!!!ed of. I have order an big item from Amazon. The item costs £26 and I have paid substantial amount of money £4 for next day delivery. Amazon advertises this as:

When I have ordered on 13th of Oct it was advertised as:

In stock.
Estimated delivery Tuesday, 15 Oct. when you choose One-Day Delivery at checkout. Details
Dispatched from and sold by UK Good Deals Ltd.

Completely misleading. I saw today one day after the supposed delivery - item has been posted by China post.

Obviously I can return and get refund but the cost for shipping to China will be lot more then I have paid.

This is a blackmail IMO.

Can I get Amazon to court and get compensation for obviously false advertising.

The item from China cannot be delivered for 1 day

I am not interested in refunds I want compensation from Amazon. The only reason I bought it from there was 1 day delivery option, because I have trusted them.

None of your dates make sense.
If you ordered on the 13th for next day delivery it would have been the 14th not the 15th and the 15th was a Saturday not a Tuesday as you stated.

If the items misses the estimated delivery date then you don't have to pay the return shipping fee as this is covered by Amazon.

After seeing posts on this forum about the kind of businesses Amazon allow to trade with them, I don't hold Amazon with the high esteem I used to.

If it was dispatched and sold from UK Good deals LTD then shouldn't you contact them?

As they will tell Amazon how fast they can get it to you through their seller account and Amazon just pass this info on to you.

It's just like buying off ebay (unless it's fulfilled by Amazon)

Make sure your solicitor is au fait with the laws as they relate to the Duchy of Luxembourg.

Or you could contact Amazon and see what resolution they propose.

What compensation do you want, £100, £1000, £10,000 etc? If you think £4 is a "substantial amount of money" then maybe you should go for at least £1,000,000. ;)

Ah! The old next day delivery thing.

OP - haven't you worked out yet that next day means the day after it is put out for delivery and NOT next day after ordering? ;)

£4 a substantial amount of money, so much they want to engage a solicitor to sue, please don't feed the troll.
