Euro-roaming on Three?
We use 3 PAYG 3-2-1 which satisfies our needs in the UK.
When travelling abroad, I use Toggle and have been satisfied with that, even though it means travelling with two phones and using different numbers with Toggle.
We have not bothered using 3 Feel At Home when in Switzerland (for example) as buying a relevant bundle seemed unnecessary. Calls to the UK would be 3p per minute and I understood calls to Switzerland (for example) would be more expensive.
However, checking http://www.three.co.uk/support/roaming/switzerland#payg , I see that calling the UK AND calling Switzerland and possibly elsewhere in Europe would be 3.3p per minute, no doubt because of the EU roaming cap, so 10% more expensive to call the UK but cheaper than I expected to call Swiss and other Euro numbers.
With our next trip imminent, I'm thinking of just taking our regular 3 phones and using 3 roaming, leaving Toggle for the USA and elsewhere.
That would simplify things. Am I missing anything important?
Thanks for your advice.

Toggle increased it's rates to 7p to call UK. So if you would be tempted to still use it, and quite a lot, you might set up to use callthrough on a landline access number in another country, for 3p
And actually most of the main brands have calls throughout the EU and some other countries for 3.6 to 4.4 pence a minute at the moment.
Whether they will keep these rates at the.next instalment of the roaming regulations next year, which allows same rates as at home, remains to be seen.0 -

Thanks for the tip about callback.Whether they will keep these rates at the.next instalment of the roaming regulations next year, which allows same rates as at home, remains to be seen.0 -
A consideration is that Three At Home is very selective on the networks you are allowed to use - when it works and you get a decent network, it is fine, but this isn't always the case.0

We roam a lot to Spain on Three's "feel at home" using contract SIM only. We used to be able to pick one of 2 or 3 networks, but currently can only pick Movistar (the auto default network). It's not really an issue for us on the Costa Blanca, but can occasionally result in no coverage in some remote places.
We are in Spain at the moment... data is very hit and miss, some places have good 3G data, but towns such as Torrevieja only have 3G at a trickle. I guess roamers are lower than a snakes belly in network priority. At least phone calls and SMS text work OK, and we have WiFi in the villa and the odd bar.0
