Funny one this.
Have 2 tv's with freeview but after latest update we are missing 2 channels on 1 of them.
Channel 48 and 132 Sky news.
Have obviously tried auto-update with no luck.
Is it worth going back to full factory reset.
Tv are not that old i.e. 5 years or less.
Any help appreciated.
Signal strengths are fine.
Thanks.
Based in NE Newcastle

Your missing channels are both on the COM5 mux. Also on this mux are Pick (Ch 11), Dave (Ch 12) and Really (Ch 17). Are these ok?

COM 5 mux is only transmitted by the main stations. Is there anyway that your TV retune has picked up a relay station?

    Mister G
    Sorry for delay replying.
You are indeed correct lost 11 12 and 17 also on this single TV Panasonic (same brand as other set).
    Not sure re relay.
Based in North Newcastle on Tyne and no previous problems.
Should I go to full factory reset as just resetting without new freeview upgrade will presumably achieve nothing.
    Thanks for reply though

A factory reset may clear the problem.

If you are in NE Newcastle, then I assume that you are watching the Pontop Pike transmitter (aerial rods horizontal and pointing more or less south?). If so, COM5 mux is on Channel 59. This is a slightly lower power than the main muxes that are used by BBC and ITV.

If you had all the channels before, then a software update shouldn't really have affected your TV's ability to pick them all up afterwards.

You should be able to check the signal strength on all the muxes via the on screen display.

Of course, there is the remotest chance that COM5 mux could have been off the air when you did the retune!

    To update.
Took courage in both hands and did a factory reset after trying soft update (which did not solve problem).
Now working perfectly with all missing channels in place.
Goodness knows how problem occurred but a call out fee lighter.
Thanks Mister G for your help

Glad it worked. I have a Panasonic in the bedroom and found that sometimes a retune didn't pick up all the channel updates. A factory reset was the only solution.
