Vodafone has charged me £100 more than usual this month and I do not have the money to pay it. I am gonna call them later to find out why, but I am wondering if anyone has any experience in cancelling the direct debit.
They are NOT taking £140 from my bank account so if I can't resolve it with them later I will cancel the DD.
Has anyone got any experience?

Why not login (or register) to your online account & view your previous bill?
I wouldn't advise cancelling the DDDwy galon, un dyhead,

I cannot afford to pay the bill so I will have to cancel the DD. The alternative is trying to set up an overdraft on my bank account... but I don't want to incur the bank fees from that either.0 -
Is the £140 the correct amount for the service you have used? You say it's '£100 more than usual' but not whether it is correct or not?
I'm assuming you have had the bill? What are the extra charges listed as?0 -
Cancelling the direct debit could lead to all kinds of problems including ruined credit scores and being taken to court.0

We understand that circumstances can change, so if you’re struggling to pay your bill please call one of our advisers on 191 free from your Vodafone mobile to discuss your options.
Alternatively, you can call 0333 3040 191 from any UK mobile or landline (standard call charges apply).
You may also find it useful to look at ways to reduce your bill
Please note that failing to pay your bill will result in your Vodafone services being suspended until we receive your payment. This could also impact your credit history.0
