Outdoor Vine Ball
Options
Hi I am wanting to make one of the vine balls for outside, will put lights on it. I am very creative but no idea with flowers etc. I don't have access to a grape vine so what else could I use. Would the vine need to be fresh to be flexible. I am hinting of fastening 2 hanging baskets together to get the rounded shape then work from there. It's what materials to use that is my dilemma

Any tips please?

Could you glue string or garden twine (the rough stuff) around a balloon then pop the balloon when it's dry - a bit like you do with papier mache? I can see it in my head but it's hard to explain.
A bit like this -

Well the site suggests doing it out of wire too - like fencing wire
The after that I would say willow like that used for baskets - you may need to soak it for a bit. You could use wire as a very basic skeleton and then fill with willow
That should work

Thanks for the tip of softening the wood. I have bought a wreath, quite good price that I will strip down, and soak.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
