  • Ah totally agree.....I was in an accident a year ago, as I had a witness my insurance company reffered me to auxillis...unfortunately my witness didn't come through, so I was held liable. A year later auxillis are try to charge me £10000 for"misleading them". I'm not sure what that means and when I asked them they ignored me. Infact they have ignored all my emails& calls. Basically a bunch of vultures.....be careful, not a good company.

If you post up the details, people may be able to guide you how to deal with this
  • Well I had an accident and as I had a witness I was reffered to Auxillis by elephant insurance. Who gave me my curtesy car. Of course elephant didnt explain that this is 3rd party refferal. My witness didn't reply to any emails/phone calls. So my insurance compay took liability. I thought they paid Auxillis and then a year later I got an invoice from Auxillis. First they told me that my insurance company refused to pay and as this is a seperate contract I need to pay (over phone). on the letter/invoice they said I gave them misleading information at the time they took the contract and therefore I'm in breach of my contract and and need to pay. Nothing about my insurance refusing to pay. When I contacted my insurance company thry said it's nothing to do with them.

Finally I went to an accident claim lawyer, who advised I need to find out what misleading information they are referring too.
Now Auxillis won't reply to any of my emails. I don't want to get information over the phone becouse I find they give a different story.
How long do I have to wait before their invoice is cancelled or will this bill be looming over my head.
    Can anyone help?

Get Elephant involved as they seemingly sent you there instead of dealing with your claim themselves
  • I tried, auxillis want me to get elephant involved but elephant have already told me they have nothing to do with it. Infact I asked for it in writing and they sent me a 2 line written statement saying my contract is with Auxillis, nothing to do with them.

    I can only sympathise.

In my daughters case after about 9 months of run-around from Auxillis she eventually ended up submitting a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman. Coincidentally enough they settled a few days later. ;)
  • Thank you, it does help :). I guess I'll meet up with my lawyer and call the ombudman next week & see what my next step is. I'll keep you all posted.
  • Well auxillis have finally told me that my case is being reviewed by management becouse my witness didn't come through. Hmmmm I'll keep u posted.
