Hi everyone. Sorry I've not been online. A couple of things have happened. A new member of staff started so, for the time being, she is being nice infront of him! :rotfl:
He has taken over some of her workload and so a large number of the debts I am chasing now come under his remit and he is much more approachable!
She has been off this week and it has been BLISS! I feel as though I have gotten twice as much done as I haven't had to respond to her numerous emails every hour. She did send a few emails but I ignored them until I had time to look at them and didn't jump to it as I usually would.
Last week my husband and I had a heart to heart as this has definitely been affecting me outside of work. I decided not to let her get to me as much....then I came in the next morning to a particularly nasty email. Before I even realised what I was doing, I was knocking on the boss's door and asking for a chat. I told him I was struggling and gave examples of what had been happening. I said I was loving the actual work, but finding it difficult being micro managed to this extent and being constantly criticised. He didn't say very much but I got the impression he knew what I meant. He asked that I copy him into all my emails to her so he can see what is going on...lol, I feel like the world and their wife is now copied in! He said he would speak to her and yesterday mentioned a team building afternoon...so perhaps things will improve.
On a positive note I had my review yesterday and my bosses are very happy with my work and progress so far....so at least she isn't ruining that for me! :T"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." I know exactly what it is like to suddenly find you love a job that was being ruined by one person, the moment they are not there. I felt my energy levels go through the roof! Such a pity the b**** was only on leave for two weeks.
Well done, you. Now you have it from the horse's mouth that he wants to be copied in... it could be a situation where they knew there was a problem and just needed enough evidence upon which to act. Translation: They don't have the requisite stones but the evidence has finally reached a critical level such that they can no longer keep their heads where the sun don't shine.
Good luck and please keep us posted.0 -
You need to grow some balls and stand up to her, just stay calm and think of a comeback next time she has something to say to you, it's the only way she will get the message and maybe she will start and show some respect. I'm a nurse and bullying is rife you need to speak up for yourself - I mean who is she to you? you shouldn't have to put up with it Hun. Your starting a new chapter don't let anyone ruin it. In my experience going to management doesn't solve anything.0
