An Update - I've emailed CEO of Asda and customer support on twitter. I have also asked my parents to inform PE of the registered keepers new address and will work both angles.
Once I receive the new PCN I will see where I am re. Asda approach and will give the BPA template a go.
In the meantime, should I worry about the jump in fine for not responding or wait until the new PCN is sent out?
Will come back when I hear from any of them!
It is not a fine, it is a speculative invoice. It only goes up if you do nothing. It's known as the mugs discount if you pay it now. It goes down to zero if you follow the tried and tested methods on here to get it cancelled or successfully appealed at PoPLA.I married my cousin. I thought I'd go over the signage and clearly on google maps (sorry, cannot add links as a newbie) - the first thing as you enter the car park is that it states it is free parking for 2.5hrs and that if you want/need longer just ask a colleague - there is no reference to any fines or speculative invoice for breaching the hours indicated. and it says to review signages elsewhere for further info. Does this help?0

Not really, the entrance sign does not have to carry all terms. Can you show us that sign AND the signs later on, within the car park?
You can show a broken link by changing http to hxxp.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don't know if these are sufficient, unfortunately the smaller ones are hard to get a clear shot and there isn't many available on Google maps. Also thinking about it where I parked I did not see any signage

Google Maps are a help but the signs may not be the current ones. If you want to use signage then get an up to date photo of the relevant signs.0

Just an Update - I've not received any new post after indicating on their website that the registered keeper no longer lives at the address (my parents).
Thankfully tho, after emailing Asda Chief Exec, the executive relations team has responded today and have said they will get the speculative invoice cancelled. This was after unsuccessful attempts to talk to the customer services at Bedminster and trying to elicit some support via Twitter.
I was prepping for the appeal but hopefully now this is all behind me! Thank you MSE - would have been tempted to pay the £40 before I found your awesome advice!0 -
Well done but make sure you get a written cancellation.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0

well done ....:j
can we now ask if you would support this campaign .....
This is a campaign of asking people to keep sending Theresa May actual hard copies of the trash they've been deluged with. Let her advisers' desks overflow with annoying paperwork re PPCs.
No emails, all letters from genuine people pouring their hearts out. Write to your MP as well as Mrs May:
https://bmpa.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/211923909-Why-not-write-to-your-MP
The more the better, write it yourself if you are able and enclose copies of the threatograms and rubbish thrown at you.
Do not do this by email - make your paperwork land with a thump on desks, just like it all landed in a very unwelcome way on your doormat.
Apparently the DCLG are looking to make an announcement before the year end so let's make MP's and Mrs May aware that action needs to be strong. You can be sure that the BPA and IPC suits are lobbying Parliament and meeting their friends in suits.
So let the consumers' voices be heard.
thanks
