House Market Quiet

Bluebird said we need to build 1 million homes per year to keep up with demand.
Exactly. So they didn't say 'there are a million homeless'. You are reading something that isn't there.Doesn't that suggest that 1 million people (per year) have nowhere to live?
No not at all. It suggests that there is a demand for a million houses. When I was renting there was a demand for 1 house from me. However, I was not homeless. If you're arguing that those people are renting, then there's not a shortage of homes, there's too many landlords.
Can't see where I've said that? Again, you are reading something that isn't actually written. People may be living with family or friends. Or in workers accomodation when they would rather have their own home. Or decide to emigrate! And yes some may be renting.
Too many landlords? So how many is 'acceptable'? What about people who like renting. I know a couple of people who have happily been renting for 20+ and 15 years each, and have no intention or desire to own their own home. Are you intending on penalising people like that?0 -

This should really be in the debate house prices section, but Crashy doesn't like posting there anymore, I think the constant laughing at him has hurt his feelings.0 -

Crashy, how embarrassing, no-one here needs to debate the issue... it's a simple fact as stated in the very report YOU linked to!:rotfl:

Why is the market quiet in that case?0 -
Probably because people think that leaving Europe and a plummeting pound will lead to an economic apocalypse.
Business as usual once people realise that it hasn't.0
