Back from the dentist, have a course of antibiotics. Not fortunately, the one I m allergic to, I always check rather than just saying ok.
I know the feeling; I always have to check in case the Doc is thinking of prescribing something in capsule form; being vegetarian, capsules are unsuitable for me, and in fact just the thought of taking them makes me feel queasy. Luckily I pretty much have Dr F trained now. Anyways, I hope the anti-flybotics do the trick for you.:o
    I bloody love this thread.
Good to know; we love having you here. :D

I'm very late logging onto MSE today - loads on online surveys, plus three longish dog walks, plus a trip into town to pick up the meds that S/Drug didn't have in stock the other day and some produce from the F&V market, plus I'd promised Mr LW I'd make a choccie mousse - so basically, I haven't stopped all day! :D

Dumpling I'm so pleased you enjoyed your cinema trip. Well done! :T

I've pretty much given up hope of ever being able to socialise "normally"; and even therapy isn't an option, because I'd be too terrified of the therapist!:eek: I can go out of the house, that's fine, as long as I'm not alone (and if I have a dog with me I'm not alone) - just as long as I don't have to speak to another human being. I even avoid gardening in the front garden without Mr LW there, in case the next door neighbour stops to chat. Flippin' wimp, eh?
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Afternoon all. Just killing a little time until the 3 DGDs arrive for tea and sleepover after all their swimming/diving clubs. At their request it's sausage and mash (with carrots, peas and Yorkshire puds) for tea.

The big food shop didn't get done until this afternoon as DS commandeered me to go to Dunelm with him this morning. He wanted to buy bedding, pillows and towels in readiness for the move to his batchelor pad! He had in mind what colours he wanted and found just what he had in mind. So that's more bags to add to the ever growing mountain of his belongings surrounding us!

AOD I hope the antibiotics soon start working. I feel your pain, I really do. I had a run of gum infections a few years ago and the pain was so bad I can remember it still.

Have a nice evening folks xx

Evening all! The sun is shining like it's mid-August and it's almost balmy. Next week will be so different I'm sure.

I've been to bank, been to the post office, been to the shop and done my two hour teaching spot.

The other week I spotted a post on here about wool pillows which interested me greatly. One of my continuing 'problems' is finding a comfortable pillow and I've tried them all, expensive through to cheap and all types inbetween. The wool pillow is just heaven, perfect everything so I ordered two more which arrived today. I'm taking one down to my Mum's house for the spare bed there as I suffer just as much with her stuff. It's great to find something which solves a problem.

My oldest nephew sent me a text this morning asking about my postcode...turns out he was down at Loch Lomond (miles from his home in Birmingham) for a couple of meetings and was out flying in a sea plane. He thought he may come over my place but no such luck unfortunately.

Need to pack a few things as I'm off to Glasgow tomorrow morning - we've got relatives flying across from Germany for a long weekend and I've been roped in as a diversion to give my Mum a rest from them.

Tea, feet up, head down, sundowner.

Gers, I'm with you there - I lug my pillows on holiday with me unless we're flying. I have very expensive dunlopillos - DH calls me the princess with the pea!

    :j

    Try wool, it's perfect.

I came back to say that there's a GREAT big beautiful crescent moon right outside my living room window, it's just lovely. I'm sure that the stars will be out again tonight as it looks cloudless.
