Documents needed to sell a property?

  • They are the ones asking us to pay! We're not getting sensible answers from them. They're one of those centralised property lawyer companies recommended by the estate agents and I suspect we've got a junior clerk as contact is by email mainly. We're so far down the line ready to exchange that we don't want to lose the sale by changing unless it's absolutely necessary. We'll go higher up in the company but I'd like to go with a definitive 'Yes' or 'No' as to whether it's a requirement for us to provide these docs. I've moved house a few times and never had to do this for any of my own properties, just wondered if things had changed since last time I moved or not.

Ditto .... This buyer sounds like trouble IMHO. Maybe best to find yourself another, or at least as GM states "let them do their own investigations"

I think it's a combination of the buyer's solicitor being over zealous and ours putting someone on the case that doesn't know what they're doing.
I just wondered if anyone knew for sure what the correct procedure is. I'd like to tell them all to stuff it, but we need the sale.:)
