My free broadband with SKY has now ended so Im going to ring up & haggle.
I will now have to pay £93.40 a month for -
Line Rental - £17.40
Broadband - £ 7.50
SKY - £68.50 (Variety & Sports, HD Pack)
Ideally I want to stay with SKY broadband for easiness but if I can get Plus Net for £8.82 a month which includes line rental it seems like a no brainer.
Would I be better off going with Plus Net regardless & then a couple of months down the line try to haggle the cost down with SKY so that I can try & reduce the £68.50 cost or would you try & cut a deal for the whole lot now?
Thanks

You need to cancel and wait for any offers to get you back. The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0 -
My Sky tv is due to go off soon and I tried chat today (getting a callback as they were busy).
All I was offered was free broadband, which the man said would normally be £7.50, so they want £25.40 for the line and calls, with their annual, at least £1, increase in line rental due soon.
I said that I had cancelled tv as the package would become expensive (had 50% off), but could reinstate if the phone/ADSL was a good deal, making tv affordable.
Still no offer, so I'm having to decide between BT and PlusNet, whose prices I quoted, but has as been mentioned, recently, they wouldn't consider the fact that the lower prices were because of cashback and a voucher with BT and a cashback from PlusNet, if ordering via one of the 'swap' sites. They have also increased their line rental so with upfront payment line cost is guaranteed for a year.
They seem to be getting very mean with the short-lived 60% off tv reverting to just 50% for 10 months, after a couple of days' offer. This is certainly not going to gain them any custom.0
