Thats interesting , and you have looked in "manage my devices" and are sure its not just added its-self as a new machine ??
(problem would only be apparent if you were up to your limit on device numbers)
Just checked and all four devices are being used. One PC One laptop PS3 and a mobile.
I'll let you know if I have any problems going forward.

I had the update over the weekend, can't say I've noticed any reduction in performance or startup times.

    Well, lucky you.
I had a perfect bowel movement this morning but that's of no use to anyone who is constipated!
A bit like your post really.

I would have thought a bowel movement is exactly what a constipated person required.

Merely pointing out that the anniversary update isn't having an adverse effect on every PC.

Do you practice at being so rude or are you just gifted?

I would say that his post was far more useful than yours. Letting someone know that not all are experiencing the problem could lead them to looking for other solutions.

I've not had any trouble with Sky Go seeing the PC as a new machine after the updates.

One very very annoying thing about these updates , is that when they happen - Sky Go sees your machine as a different computer - And you can only add/remove devices once a month .

    Grrrrr

I've had that too. Really irritating as all 4 of my devices are being used and have already swapped this month!

  • Is there any way that I can prevent this problematical, for me, update installing in future?

WSUS would let you block it, but is not suitable for home users.
