It's a good job those lights do turn green, though, as there's no way he'd be able to stop in time. He's not even slowing down.

Might be a little unfair - pretty sure those Mercs would have had front discs at least - many upmarket cars did well before then (eg the 1960 Humber Super Snipe that I used to have had them as factory standard).

Also - as it is a classic car thread, would your username happen to have anything to do with a fast classic Vauxhall ?

I was just thinking that with some, he's virtually under the light before it changes to green, though I admit I record most stuff on commercial channels now so I can skip the ads.

Jealous now - always quite fancied one of those (or even one of the 2.3 Chevettes) ... but they go for pretty big money nowadays.

They're heading up (for now), probably because the Fords that have a bigger following are getting out of reach of a lot of people. I've had mine for almost 30 years, back when they were just old cars. Nice to have something a bit different, though I'd never expected to keep it this long.
