BT say I "need" to return their Home Hub 5. Do I?

BT Home Hub 5 routers issued to you by BT have little onwards value anyway, since the router's "Username" is hard-coded to BT, meaning you can't configure it to work with another provider as your primary router (I went through a lot of pain finding this out after trying to get it to work with Vodafone broadband). In theory you can chain it onto another provider's router (to act as another wifi broadcast hub) but probably not worth the hassle unless your new provider's router is shoddy.0
