Transfers to Nationwide ISA

There were posts earlier this years about big delays to transfer to Nationwide ISAs. Have they speeded up these days ?

  • No - 4 months for me.
    Completed last week.

Did you lose out at all with interest payments ?
  • When I opened my fixed rate ISA there, they said taht they had a backlog of applications (although mine was opened and transferred within 2 weeks).

  • Only took about three weeks for me. Existing customer though.

Still transferring , original application 20th August. The local Nationwide branch said 6 weeks.
Don't know if they have to cross check with the Inland Revnue, that could hold it up. Otherwise needn't take more than a mouse click.
I have it in writing that the money was transferred on Sept 5 and a letter this morning from N/W saying they are awaiting the funds.
Feeling a compensation mode coming on. :-)
  • I've been waiting since mid April. My funds were transferred from Alliance and Leicester 5th June (that's another story). The branch where I opened the account finally put in a complaint on my behalf to try and speed things up but it hasn't helped. I want to know what interest rate I will finally receive since the rates have risen twice since I made my application. Will I be stuck with 5.8%? Also, depending on who I speak to, they can't seem to agree whether or not they've received my £3000 B/S cheque which was attached to my original application so I've lost 5 months interest on that aswell so far.

They have sent me a tracking number, could be the old providers delay sending money for cash flow reasons.
