I got a call from virgin mobile CS, im on PAYG customer they said as I have been a customer for very long time, they can offer me free 4G, unlimited text, unlimited calls to landline & other virgin mobile numbers and NO data for £0.00 per month. yes I don't have to pay anything for all that, but I will have to pay if I use any data or call other mobiles.
They said all this for free and upgrade to 4G.
I was like wait a min what's the catch, they are giving me 4G but No data so I will be just using 2G or 3G for text or calls.
so I said to the CS guy when does the 4G starts and he said this month.
Is this right?

So you'd be billed per MB for data usage.
What are Virgin Mobile's charges for mobile internet?
I've seen on MSE and Digital Spy Virgin Mobile are extending 4G to their personal customers; they've had it on their business plans for a while now. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

I almost thought the call was a hoax.
Well I wait with interest to see if 4G pops up on my phone :rolleyes:0 -
Unless your phone is relatively new (with Voice over LTE (VoLTE)) ability it will be using 2G/3G only for calls anyway. 4G is only used for data with non-VoLTE 4G handsets. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
