Cheap ink-worth it?

I have a fairly new Brother printer. I'm planning to use branded cartridges until the printer warranty runs out, then move over to compatibles.
I've used compatibles before, on an Epson printer and had no problems.
Manufacturers cannot void warranties because you use compatible cartridges so what's the point in that. The Brother printer I have at home is 3 years old and our ex demo printer, the only original cartridges it's had in it were the set up cartridges supplied with the printer.I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world0 -
The cheapie XP-225 I have spots the compatibles and nags me but continues to work with them.jonesMUFCforever wrote: »Epson tried this some years ago but compatible inks now work well for me.
