It seems most water companies aim to read household meters at least once a year and issue bills twice a year.
The one I get in September is next to useless because it is estimated.
If they are trying to save money by only reading the meter once a year why waste money providing useless bills?

Yes, they do say it's an estimated bill and 'If you provide us with a meter reading within 14 days we can recalculate your bill' but it's still a waste of money!
I have just read the meter myself and I am quite capable of working out if the estimated bill is near enough without them producing another bill.0
