Are you sure that's not Summer 2018?
I think Citroen offer a 2-year warranty by default, but I'll check my paperwork. I bought it as nearly-new in January this year.

If it does it again change gear but keep to the same speed. If its a wheel balance or tracking problem it will be the same regardless of engine speed or gear.
When it happens, it goes away if I change down a gear or if I take my foot off the accelerator.

Well obviously it isn't anything to do wheels or brakes.

We have a Cactus, currently over halfway through our 18 month lease deal and it does the exact same thing.

The problem is you are in top gear and need to change to 4th. It is more noticeable if you have the air con on as well and the engine is working a fraction harder.

I guarantee that is all it is.

Not wheels then. Engine or drivetrain.

I don't really want to be driving in 4th gear at 50-60mph.

Anyway, it's not doing it at the moment.

Why, whats wrong with 50-60mph in 4th? It's not going to break it. It will do those speeds in 3rd, even 2nd if you can stand the noise.

The Cactus tells you the most economical time to change gear and I'm fairly sure it doesn't state 5th until around 60.

It will actually use more fuel changing up too early.

Just checked, it appears only 47mph is possible in 2nd:
    1st - 25
    2nd - 47
    3rd - 78
    4th - 114
5th - 151 (theoretical based on gearing, obviously it cannot do this).

If you are still not happy though, just keep taking it back.

I'm pretty sure, like most manufacturers in the UK, it'll be 3 years.

I was always taught that you used less fuel in higher gears. My driving instructor advised me to change into 5th at about 40mph on the flat. Every car I have owned (including the Cactus) has been perfectly fine in 5th at 40mph.
