Moving house - crossover period with 2 lines

So we are in rented and about to buy our own place.
There will be a crossover period where I would like to have phone and internet in both places. This will be about a 2 month period.
Any idea how I can do this? Is it as simple as asking BT the question or is there some contract I will be tied into in the old place that means I can do a straight swap but not have 2 lines /numbers/internet running at the same time?

You will be in contract at your current address.
Balance of the contract will have to be paid off .New contract will start at the new premises .
If BT supply the new premises they will probably let you carry the existing contract over but starting a new term .
But the two usages really needs a BT reply or use the BT Community forum via your BT members help pages .
