    Update :
    I did keep trying and eventually a live chat box popped up again
    How this happened appears to be totally random - I have not been able to replicate the conditions again - but at least I know that it exists !!
    BOS have a 'one way' secure messaging system - TO customers !!
    No way of replying - how stupid ?

    Don't you have a local Halifax Bank of Scotland branch??

    Failing that, probably best to open an account with messaging. My old Flex account with Nationwide had that facility but weren't very fast to respond.

    Thanks - I already have a Nationwide flex account - and have done for 15 years +

    Another question - since BOS is linked to both Lloyds and Halifax - is it possible to pay cash into a BOS account at either of these banks ?

    Maybe its like some of the other live chats.
    If they are busy the option just disappears ??
    BT live chat is like that I find.

    Yup, I started a conversation on BT live chat then, while waiting for a response phoned them, after pressing lots buttons & speaking to their voice recognition machine, eventually got a human being in the UK, sorted out my problem & wished him good day, meanwhile no response from live chat. Not very live obviously.
    Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

    I have sent a complaint to BOS to see why they do not want people to communicate with them......

    THANK YOU! I really like the ease of using t i n y u r l. com but have never been able to refer to it here. Get your finger out MSE, this is an accepted standard for shortening those long url's!
