Truecrypt....complicated?

With Portable Apps it's so that I can use the Documents folder and Thunderbird without worrying about losing my USB key.
It would seem more logical to have the apps themselves outside the TrueCrypt volume, but any documents etc. inside - but perhaps that's not entirely straightforward.Stompa0 -
Managed to find podcast where I inferred my last post: "It is never not encrypted when it’s on the drive. So there’s no way that anything can, like, catch it part way done or not finished". From the Security Now podcast.
I may have misinterpreted or misremembered what was said so in that I may be wrong (it was a podcast I listened to once many months ago), that's not the same thing as "guessing".
Apparently if you run it in traveller mode under BartPE it leaves no traces in windows."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
