Dalton Phillips signed up PE before being fired at Morrison's, sounds like Andy Clarke at Asda made the same stupid mistake before entering the departure lounge.REVENGE IS A DISH BETTER SERVED COLD0

Our 2 local Asdas don't (as far as I know) have PE (yet).
Also in regard to PE and ANPR, our local Aldi does have PE signs up but definitely no cameras.0 -
One Asda local to me has the PE ANPR cameras, they replaced the Smart ANPR with their own, interestingly the town centre Asda doesn't have any cameras! But a ticket machine where £1 buys 2 hours parking, which is refunded at the Asda checkout.
This is exactly the same set up that was used by Smart before they were sacked. The machines were covered up for a couple of months & free parking was available, I was expecting ANPR, but they just carried on with the existing ticket machines.0 -
The Asda next to Bournemouth railway station is now infested with PE. The parking limit is, however, still 3 hours - I wonder how long before that becomes 2 hours, then 1 and a half hours.....
Signage is shocking, though. There is no hint that the car park is being, er, managed, no signs on entrance and it is perfectly possible to drive in, and park without seeing a single sign.
The other issue with this Asda is that due to the road layout in the area, any traffic problems can result in people being trapped in that car park for up to an hour or more, trying to get out.
Probably not much of an issue with the 3 hour limit, but certainly will be if they reduce it due to making no money.
If they do reduce it, I will ban Mrs. Catfunt from going there

They will definitely reduce the time limit 'in Asda's name' as they did with Aldi Portslade in East Sussex.
It was 3 hours, then 2 hours, then (now) 1.5 hours all led by ParkingEye with some ridiculous report warbling on about 'footfall' and alleging that the idea was led by Aldi and had their best interests behind it. Anyone in the know about the entire private parking scam could read the pathetic 'report' of drivel put forward to the Council and see that it screamed one line:
'ParkingEye want to catch more people by reducing the time to 1.5 hours'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Not so Smart tried this at Asda in Otley. Dropped it from 3 hours to 1.5 hours and limited to customers only. Store Manager was totally ignored.Coupon-mad wrote: »They will definitely reduce the time limit 'in Asda's name' as they did with Aldi Portslade in East Sussex.

Clear contravention of planning permission. So a letter to Trading standards soon sorted the problem. They went to Asda Company Secretary. Quickly reverted back to Planning permission recommendations.0
