ANPR is only used for time limits; if the car park doesn't have a time limit then you won't find any cameras.keepitlegal wrote: »Unfortunately my local Asda has been infested by PE, had a quick look at the signs, there's no mention of ANPR, I thought PE always used ANPR, do they have to say that ANPR cameras are in use on the signs?

There is a time limit of 2.5 hours in the car park, lots of people use it to shop on the main street and leave there vehicles there more than 2.5 hours, I couldn't see any cameras though.0 -
That's because they are small and high; a well-hidden trap.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Right, I think another visit is required tomorrow.0 -
Infested both stores in my locality .. although the smaller "express" type store only has two signs about the nastiness that will befall you if you park in a disabled bay without a Blue Badge or a child/parent bay .. without a child. Usual microscopic text for the T's & C's, high up on poles, unlit ..... interesting as it's a shared car park with other retailers but these (2) signs are at the Asda entrance. No signs of ANPR (yet) at this site so I just wonder if they are branching out into Norris Cole tactics? As mentioned, it does not appear there has been any planning application/advertising consent for these signs... mmm ...

There is a small possibility the new CEO will get round to looking at this problem. Seems he is a stickler for the smallest detail. Anything that impacts on trading is up for change.
And yes, he's doing site visits unaccompanied - no minions trying to steer him away from problems.
He tipped up at two stores last week....at night.0 -

Child/parent bays..........both my daughters are married with children of their own, they'll always be 'my children' and I'll always be there parent! Make child/parents spaces exactly what they are.........a total waste of time.0 -

Interesting, seems he was brought in to take sales back from the likes of Aldi and Lidl's, strangely there's a Lidl's about 2 minutes from Asda and an Aldi about 4 minutes away by car, I don't think Asda have done themselves any favours enlisting the help of PE.0 -

But this guy is digging up the drains, so to speak, to see what is causing problems. One of his targets is contractors on site. Not holding my breath as we don't know the details of the PE contract but we can live in hope.0
