o2 charges - unauthorised SMS sent

Options
First time post - (hopefully in the right place)

I have spotted some charges on my o2 account (£30ish) for SMS sent (apparently from my phone) this morning to China. Around 60 crazy within 2 minutes. O2 had blocked the sim to ensure no more could be sent.

On calling them they advise that the customer is responsible for these charges... despite them being unauthorized!

Any thoughts or suggestions for what I could try to reclaim this cost.

Account passwords ect have all been changed

I'm not 100% sure on this, but last time this happened to me and I got a refund, some app on my phone (McAfee!) started sending texts out. So they blocked international calls/texts

I told them its unauthorized and I never did anything they refunded :)
