hi MOT, twins and I-T
Sorry haven't posted for a while but have been looking in to keep up with progress. So glad to see you looking more relaxed and that progress is positive at present.
As always you have recieved excellent advice and support and so glad you have pursued the publicity tack as i really do feel this may put a rocket up LHO's you know where and she may even start taking you seriously. Really hope that media can find out when cottage was put on market for you cos that could really help.
Sending positive vibes and hugs to you all.

Only thing is the LL might not have had the cottage on the market, just planning to sell. Hopefuly the statement from the neighbours will do the trick though.

Hi friends! Watched the programme on BBC1 about families declared intentionally homeless - very depressing stuff. 1 family were moved 8 times in 2 years before they were given a council house; another family spent nights in a seafront shelter before being put in a B&B! Heaven help those in need, cos the Council certainly will not. Did go to bed but got up again as I couldn't sleep. I hope the press coverage will help MOT & the twins. I must say I was a little worried that it might have an adverse effect but if the solicitor thinks it could help who am I to argue with him? MOT mustn't mention the LL by name though because knowing what a 'parentless person' he is, he'd probably sue MOT for defamation. I only hope the LA don't take umbrage and dig their heels in further. All the positive support is certainly having a good effect on MOT and it is so nice to see her smiling and getting her sense of humour back again. Mind you, she still didn't get an email joke I sent her and I had to explain the punch line. :rotfl: She is going to help me spend some of my 'hard earned' on Friday so that should take her mind off things; shopping is always good therapy, even for me. For a fella I am probably unusual as I love shopping and could browse for hours. I'm rambling aren't I? Bona note to all.0

Morning all,
Slept through til alarm went off at 7am:j :j :j
Must admit I, too, am worried about how the publicity will affect my appeal - possibly because I am someone who never wants to 'rock the boat'.
Going to see my friends Aunt at lunchtime today who actually works for the HA whose flat I am in - she is going to go through my file from the council with me to see if there is anything she can pick up to work on too.
At the appeal I-T will be with me as will my Support Worker from the HA and the girl who came yesterday from CAP.
My SW is on holiday at mo so her colleague is coming with me to my GP's to request more detailed info for the appeal about how my depression affects my life - think I may have posted that before but I'm not sure.

Morning MOT,
You're sounding very organised, supported and focussed. I wish you all the best for the appeal.
I read several posts back that you haven't heard about your crisis loan yet. This is unbelievable. My friend applied for a crisis loan (only £90) but she had the decision there and then that day. She was told if she needed more just to go and apply again the following week. I remember when I applied for a crisis loan a couple years ago it only took a couple days. I can't believe they've made you wait *7* weeks! Shocking. Make sure you chase them up.
I'd be interested in the newspaper title/article - will it be online? When I was recovering from similar circumstances I had an article printed in my local paper....that subsequently also made it onto the bbc website....from that I was contacted by a bbc researcher who was involved in producing a new version of "Cathy Come Home" (which I think was called "London").:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
Buon giorno amici! Had a great night's sleep, eventually. Re the crisis loan - 7 weeks; doesn't it make you weep? Who plans a crisis? "Excuse me but can I have a crisis loan in two months time because I'm planning on having difficulties then?" Yeah right. As DS would say "That's well bad." I don't know if any of you night owls saw the Beeb programme last night about homelessness but it seems to me the whole system in this country needs a shakeup. The statistics quoted were mind blowing! I feel a letter of my own to GB our sinking fast PM coming on. Mind you with all the problems he has on his plate at present I doubt he'd give it more than a cursory glance. Ciao.0
