The very definition of a straw man argument and not surprisingly a common tactic amongst the HPC crowd. Invent something that doesn't exist and then claim victory when you 'prove' it no longer exists. :o

There are definitely no more unicorns either.

If there were any, it would be far better to buy one, rather than rent it.
Chuck Norris can kill two stones with one birdThe only time Chuck Norris was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistakeChuck Norris puts the "laughter" in "manslaughter".I've started running again, after several injuries had forced me to stop
  • But what if you bought one and then you couldn't sell it? Meanwhile all those unicorn liveries boomers would be getting rich renting unicorns out to the youth who can't afford to buy their own.

There should be a tax on owning a unicorn.
  • Im here, House prices only ever go up.

You are the only one left,

Have you been saying green shoots for over ten years and still haven’t worked out there aren’t any green shoots still?

Kirstie Alsopp just said good morning to me in a hotel and I think that's the best sign possible that house prices are rising :)

There never were any, except in your head. Property has been an excellent performer for me over the last 26 years, but never once did I think that house prices always go up.

Where is Hamish these days, he was one of the perms prob bulls

Um, no. The "perma prop bulls" were fake news dreamt up by The Joker... in fact Hamish is on record for predicting lower house prices:
London HPI will take a breather and decrease from current levels
Aberdeen house prices will continue to soften a bit as they have done over the last year.
