Perma prop bulls, are there any left?

Very true!
The delusion is strong with our Crashy friends, most of the people who have bought myself included did so as they wanted to secure a stable retirement without the worry of housing costs. The added bonus of HPI, security of tenure, freedom of renovating, works & extensions. Not forgetting that in most cases it's actually cheaper on a monthly basis to buy that to rent.
I think most of what Crash enthusiasts post is what they would like to happen rather what they believe will happen.0 -
The crash phenomenon effects different people. If you own, are happy and don't need to sell, a dip in prices for a few years doesn't mean anything, the mortgage gets paid and you're further to the goal of being mortgage free.
If you're a renter, you hope desperately for the big cahuna to buy in.
The renters don't get this, they see it that because they are so p!ssed at prices rises, owners should be equally p!ssed at price falls. It's not so.
However this big question is, will housing in the uk appear a good purchase now when we look back in 2042 after a 25 yer mortgage?
Hell yeah.Proudly voted remain. A global union of countries is the only way to commit global capital to the rule of law.0 -

In the last 60 years there have been, how many, 5 or 6 when people thought "Wish I hadn't just bought".
Good odds to buy I'd say. Any nominal loss is soon over and you never book it. Loss from not buying is permanent.0 -
Lots of trying to change the subject here.
Are these all former perma prop bulls that have thrown in the towel, or just perma prop bull defenders who admit themselves that property cant be permanently in a bull market forever without any dips.0 -

Wow have you taken your tablets today? Prices go up for the majority of the time as everything inflates..... then there are occasional blips along the way0 -
Who has said that property can be a bull market forever? Please stop dodging this and identify someone who thinks this.0

So now some are saying there really are no perma prop bulls left?
Maybe Hammish is the only one left, but there used to be many. They have all thrown in the towel.0 -
