Social media has been rife with rumours about the airline Monarch's financial health. The company has strongly rebuffed speculation that it could end up going bust and insists it's "trading well", but we've still had questions about your rights and ATOL protection....

Monarch might have problems, so might every other airline. But if they are in trouble, the final nail in the coffin will be thousands of people receiving information like this, panicking and taking their business elsewhere.

MSE you need to pull this thread and the article in the newsletter. At least wait a couple of days and see if their ATOL licence is renewed or not
It could possibly do more harm than good and create real problems for Monarch (and their customers) where there were none before.0 -
MSE, MoneySupermarket and MSE Martin S Lewis need to be very careful with unfounded articles, Monarch's lawyers may be costing MSE a few quid and administrative headaches soon.
Just change this to a general holiday/flight protection article, without the M references.

I work in the industry.
Monarch is in difficulties yes. So on one hand, people should be aware.
On the other hand.. people being aware will cancel or not book... which will definitely finish off Monarch0 -

Oh get real. Its happened time and time again. Just wait and see.
I'm not blaming MSE, because I think Monarch is doomed anyway. They changed to a low-cost model a couple of years ago. That model is too crowded and they're not lo-cost enough to compete.
