Evening all,
Gers I put a reply to your net curtain dilemma on the end of yesterdays thread, not sure if you saw it ?
Snoozer I meant to say I loved the photos, the photographer had a really good eye for capturing unusual scenes, they really are stunning, and what a handsome young man your DS is xxx0 -
Afternoon, ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Late up this morning, after 10 before I managed to drag myself out of bed.
White wash done, mostly dried on the line, just finished it off in the dryer. It was a very grey morning, the sun broke through late this afternoon.
OH was clearing out the shed, I decided to clear out a cupboard in my sewing room, I now have a large bag to go to the charity shop, curtains etc I am not going to use again, they are too small for the windows here.
Leeks dug to make soup for tomorrow. DD2 is coming to let me know how things went at my cousins funeral. I was banned, my cousin did not approve of my leaving my first husband.....narrow minded bigot.....he was supposed to be a Christian too. Maybe its a good job I did not go I might have had something to say.0 -

No, I hadn't! Have now, many thanks.
I tried to get a blind company (starting with H) to come and measure and quote- used their online appointment request service and didn't hear back from them. When I rang I was told that they didn't have anyone in my area to send out. All those who do this are self-employed and we are too remote for them - 90 miles from Glasgow and 35 from Oban. It's ridiculous.
I really fancied the upward blinds which pull up from the bottom and so don't spoil the view but hide the inside when needed (when I'm on the loo for instance :rotfl:).
Blinds would be almost perfect but the window frames and spaces are so odd that they really need a professional touch.
Thanks so much to you and Jackie O for your suggestions though.0 -
redruby, thank you, I know I'm biased but I think he's handsome too. I posted a link to DD's wedding in my post above - her photographer had a taste for the unusual too and DD is very beautiful (not biased on that, she was a model as a teenager).0

Hi Gers,
We ordered ours online, get one of your builder friends to measure them and order away they are easily fitted as long as the measurements are correct x0 -
Evening everyone
Been MiA again sorry. not felt up to posting, not a lot to say apart from having constant arguments with Dh about money. It doesn't help that whilst I've been unable to work I've not been paid anything due to being self employed, get fed up asking him to help me as it's not worth the aggravation. Anyway back to work next week but won't get that till end November. I get fed up because as soon as dsd asks for money, he gives it, but I have to explain it over and over. Rant over.
OS today hm spicy lentil soup. Washing up done. But of dusting. Afternoon was spent finishing some work for college. Think I've managed to find another placement too.
Lainey - hope you got to see your DM today.
Hilstep - thinking of you.
Butterflybrain - hope your pain is easing.
Hester - hope your L&m is feeling better.
Redruby - good luck to your Dd
Snoozer - the wedding looked amazing.
Sorry if I have missed anyone. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.0
