Getting a second credit card from a provider

Hi All,
I had a credit card from a provider (Tesco), which I stopped using about 2 years ago (due to the 0% interest period running out).
Probably a daft question, but if I applied for another Tesco CC (to get their 0% deal again), am I likely to be rejected as I have/had a CC with them?

there needs to be a decent gap between you closing the last one and applying again - it is either 6 or 9 months with TescoI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Thanks MallyGirl. Unfortunately I didn't think ahead, paid the balance and just left the account open (I think Tesco closed it a month or so ago).If at first you don't succeed, enter, enter and enter again!0 -
Interestingly I've actually had letters from Tesco lately asking if I want to open a 2nd card with them that has a 0% introductory offer for purchases. It might be worth giving them a call and asking them about the possibility. If they say no I think you have to wait 6 months after closing your account to be considered a new customer, but you should check that with them as well.
EDIT: sorry I didn't see you said the account is already closed. I guess you'll just have to wait it out if you want to open another one.0 -

Not true, they changed their 'rules' in Jan this year. You are allowed to have 2 Tesco credit cards at any time. I currently hold 2 and so does my partner. happy to be corrected. When I closed my Tesco card last year they told me there had to be a gap but that was prior to JanI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

Tesco have written to me twice now offering me a second card with an introductory offer. Currently have a 0% on purchase with virgin but when I've filled it am going to phone Tesco and ask if I can have the second card.0
