The extension of the ATOL licence until 12th October would seem to be Monarch "Last Chance Saloon". I cannot see them getting another reprieve. Hopefully they will come up with the new investors but so far no more news has been forthcoming, maybe later this week. All those who have booked flights or holidays with Monarch are on tenderhook, especially those who will actually be away after the deadline and are worried how they are going to get home. Will they just turn up at the airport and be stuck there. An update from Monarch woud be helpful and silence is worrying!!

I'm not surprised that there is silence. They are unlikely to make any further announcements now until a deal is finalised or the time runs out.

I'd also not expect Monarch to be releasing any more statements at this stage, until they can issue the one that everyone wants to hear which is 'our ATOL licence has been renewed'.
