Terrible marketing photos: Should I tell my landlord?

We're moving out of a rented flat so someone from the letting agent came around to take photos for rightmove & the like. As I'm rather nosey, I had a look at the ad and they're awful.
It's a 2 bed flat with an ensure and the photos shown are outside, living room, kitchen, master bedroom, main bathroom and the hallway (!). I mentioned to my husband about how bad they are and he told me they'd taken them on a mobile phone!
Now, it's not really my problem. It makes zero difference to my life if someone moves in here or not but knowing my landlord, he's probably not even looked at the ad, preferring the agent to sort all that stuff, but I kinda feel like I should tell him since he's paying them?
I love this flat but if I seen that advert I wouldn't look twice at it.

Claree: I've seen the photos your agent took. You surely didn't approve them? They are carp. You should get them changed.
Landlord: I thought they were rather good and just what I wanted. Now, about your reference ......You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can't pick your friend's nose.0 -
Good point!
We don't actually need a reference (he's already done one for us!) but maybe best not rocking the boat.
Seriously though, they're really bad! I hope he didn't approve them!!My Debt Free Diary

tbh a lot of mobile phones take excellent photos - mine is far better than both my (good) cameras. Trouble is, that doesn't make everyone a photographer lol!
If keep quiet. Up to him to approve his own pics.

Its the LL's responsibility to check photos not yours. If they're that bad, you'll be disturbed by less viewings lol.0

As a rule, most rental photos are shocking or non existent. So many people need a place to rent, pretty urgently, that they aren't sitting there poncing about and drooling over lovely interior shots and dreaming of their lovely life if they rent that place.
Your LL is a fully functioning adult who will have approved the photos before they were put online and/or will be able to see them himself. His choice.0 -

Any normal person would look at the ad, but if he cannot be bothered then to me that's their problem. I wouldn't bother saying anything.0 -
no my problem, not my house, not my business.
Does the LL care about you and offers you rock bottom rents and free top quality furniture?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Sometimes its a good thing. Our very long term LL sold the house so we were looking for somewhere. We couldn't find anywhere that would take pets. Time was running out. Stress levels through the roof.
Then i saw this add for this grim looking little house. Dark or blurry photos and a rainy grey exterior shot. We would never had given a second glance if we weren't desperate.
It turned out to be a little diamond. Its had some problems don't get me wrong, but the pictures did not show a single positive aspect, to the point at work when they saw what i was going to view they called it 'the hole'
As no one had expressed interest at all over the 7 month it had been on the agents books it meant they were happy to take the pets, win!
This landlord is a genuinely lovely person so we have already taken some nice summer shots of the rooms and the exterior of the house so she can use them in her add when we leave next month!0 -
My god, what is it with the attitude's of a lot of people on this forum.
