You are waiting for Britannia to send you a non POFA 2012 compliant NTK, not hoping they won't send one, although that would be nice.

For a windscreen ticket, the NTK must arrive between 28 and 56 days starting the day after the alleged event for keeper liability to apply.
Even if it does arrive between those dates, it is very unlikely that it will be POFA 2012 compliant which is what you are hoping for as that will be one of several PoPLA appeal points that should win.

Many thanks Fruitcake....I feel have to mention, I have a ticket to travel out of the UK on the 9/11 (day63), returning in 6 months time and I wonder if will have enough time to deal with the whole process?? Feeling tempted to ignore the whole thing!
Having read more of the Newbies sections, I think you people are brilliant!!!

If you follow CM's advice then they will fold before then ...... if they do not POPLA will take longer .......

Will you have access to your email /internet while away ?

if so there should be no problem

"Feeling tempted to ignore the whole thing!" do not do this at the min ........

People will be along soon to confirm .... or rebuke this advice ;-)

    Good luck

The NTK should arrive in the post about a month after the parking event (end of October) and if you send a decent appeal first time around (not saying who was driving) then you should either get a rejection letter & POPLA code, or they'll cancel the charge.

As long as you have access to email and someone checking your post for six months (as anyone would - or pay a small fee for the PO to forward it to someone who will open it) then you can do a POPLA appeal if needed, in November.

Calm down, this is only Britannia who (to adapt Myriddin's lovely turn of phrase again!) are a mere toothless 'dogfish' compared to ParkingEye's great white shark!

All you need to do is send the blue writing template appeal in the NEWBIES thread by email to Britannia now, same as everyone else here does. Nothing special, it's the standard advice in the sticky thread. Make sure you add a line stating you NEW address but do not add anything saying or implying who was driving.

Like I said, that then gets you either cancellation or a POPLA code by November (if the latter come back to work on a POPLA appeal to see them off as we always do).

    Easy.

Fixed that for you CM. :)
