  • Spent £20 on petrol but this is budgeted for. So essentially a no spend day.

How did you get on at that job interview you had the other day rog? (I'm a bit out of touch, I've been so busy working, and stressing!)

Little late starting but ill throw my hat in this week (didnt see this thread last week)

Well i should in theory spend almost nothing at all this week, stocked up on bus passes last week, still have 2 left so no need to buy more till after payday.

Only thing i need to pay for is postage via recorded delivery for my work expenses, and also recorded delivery for my MP3 player to be returned under RMA, although i cant find the d**n thing it has disapeared out of a bag im sure i had it in, will continue my hunt later.

    oh well

Ill set myself a target of £10 spend, although im sure friday night will change that lol.

    NSD yesterday and today

    Morning Gorgeouses!

I went over last week due to breakfast out with my daughter, and then buying so much in Lidl that we couldn't carry it the half a mile to the bus stop so we um... had to call a cab.

That's not very flippin' MSE /DFW is it??? :o

In my defence the very charming - but evidently evil - orthodontist had just told me that the bill for my daughter's braces would be "about £3000 give or take" and clearly I was driven quite mad by this assertion!

So turn me red and put me down for a tenner again this week, and maybe I'll put Must Try Harder in my sig!

Although I am having trouble fitting all my debts and my challenges in my sig so I'd better not make any promises!

I hope everyone else is doing better than me.

I blew it last week: I spent £65 (I forgot about £25 for my hair appointment, but I saved £5 on my course fees (their mistake, not mine:j)

I'm going to try for £45 again this week (I know I've got to buy petrol - £15 and pay half towards the christmas ball £15 so that'll leave me with £15 for non-essentials like the trip to the pictures on Friday! My spending diary helped me keep track of the little things so I'll keep on doing that.

  • Hi guys

I think it might be a good idea for me to join this, I found myself ocnsolidating most of my debts at the weekend, which has been a blessing as I am less stress. But I now need to control my spending so that I can overpay the loan and get it go quick....

    So

I will be aiming for £10 spends this week.

Hopefully I'll come in under this as anything that I don't spend is going into my extra debt repayments account!

    Wish me luck.

£3000 for braces! OH MY GOD!

Yep. That was pretty much my reaction - only with more gibbering! :D

She does qualify for free NHS treatment but the orthodontist was so dismissive of it...

We're going for a second opinion anyway, as I'm not spending £3000 on the say so of a clearly evil kiwi!
