He's very experienced at creating boom and bust!
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
  • I was only reporting what Lord Lawson said, what's wrong with that?

If we want to know what a lord thinks about someone in a senior government or similar position, we can read the newspapers, watch the TV etc. If we want to know what you or other forum members think about it we can go to the 'debate the economy' board. Why do we have to have you starting threads about it in the savings and investments forum?

I don't really care if you misunderstand Carney's role or think he is bad at his job, but would prefer him in the job than you.

    This is getting really tiresome.
Obviously a very needy person in search of someone to talk to.
Fred, please go down the pub and talk to real people who are interested in your opinions.
Please, please stop expressing them here.

Strange you don't get equally upset about the many lies the Brexit camp told.

For example Brexit to free up £350m pw to spend on the NHS? Not only untrue but Farage then claimed he had never said it despite video evidence proving he did

I'm no UKIP supporter and not a particular fan of Farage. But in the interest of balance the video link you posted does not show any evidence of him saving said the money would go to the NHS. The QT clip shows him saying "I would like to see that money going to schools, hospitals and GPs."

Is there any media actually proving this is something he said?
