Bt Reward - Website said £100 only offered £50 Broadband 17Mb Anyone else have prob

Hi,
I ordered 17Mb BT broadband on 2 September at around 9am, the site had an offer of £100 reward card which was unusual but as it was advertised I thought it was a special and placed my order. It is all now working but the reward is showing only £50.
I contacted BT and have dealt with various departments including what they call their executive complaints group. They are all saying it is only £50
I have a print of the page that quotes £100 and have sent it to BT but in so many words are calling me a 'liar' and hinting that I have changed the print to read £100.
Has anyone elso ordered expecting £100 and only being told it is £50.
I guess they made a mistake on their website as 2 days later it had changed to £50 but as it advertised £100 I feel they should honour this.
Their stance is they are sending me written confirmation that they will only pay £50 and details as to how I can take it to Ofcom.
Has anyone taking BT to Ofcom and won and if you have can you claim for additional items such as time sppent dealing with BT, their 'liar' accusations, etc
Regards
Colin.

BT reward cards are being included in deals including the BT Unlimited Broadband Calls & TV Starter Package, which features a £50 card.

Meanwhile, a £100 BT reward card is being offered along with deals including the Total Entertainment, Unlimited BT Infinity & Weekend Calls package.

Google wayback machine and see if the old webpage is still available.
When I looked last time they only offered £100 for fibre and £50/75 for ADSL

  • If you go to

    https://www.productsandservices.bt.com/products/bt-reward-card

Scroll right to the bottom where it says BT offers terms and conditions. Click to open and it shows all the dates of the offers and what the offer was at that time.

Orders placed on 02/09/16 shows £50 reward card for BT broadband and £100 for BT infinity broadband
  • I placed an order for BT infinity and weekend calls package on 10th August with an advert for a £100 BT Reward Card . The BT engineer did not keep the appointment on 26th August. Broadband was installed on 16th September but not up and running until 14th October. When I try to claim the reward using the web links, I am given the message that I am not entitled to the reward on my account. Following numerous attempts to get this rectified, including a complaint via their complaints procedure, online chat and telephone, I am failing to get any response or any resolution. I have found BT customer service to be abysmal and regret the day I chose to go with BT.

BT are pants and best avoided where possible.
You can lodge a complaint, then go to the ombudsman or lodge a small claims.
