Changing to Samsung S5 from older phone

My old Sony Phone is playing up (see previous posting.) OH has recently upgraded his Samsung phone and offered to give me his old S5 which still works. However SIM card is much smaller as I have old style one. We are both on EE/Orange. I own the SONY and have a data only plan. Can I ask EE for a smaller SIM card and continue with same plan? Or should I resort to a High Street "Phone " kiosk?

Just ask EE for a new SIM of the correct size for the S5. They will provide one.0
