I am in possession of £131.20.
Where is the best place to put it? I'm willing to put somewhere high risk, and maybe release it in 5 years time.
Thanks.

What do you seriously believe will happen with a nominal amount like this ?
£131.20 invested in a high risk venture, Well it wont buy you stocks or shares, Property, drugs, guns or allow you to open a brothel so there really is only one hope for a high risk punt here and that is to go and gamble it either at the bookies or on scratch cards.0 -
Is OP having a giggle? They've been here 4 years so should know that £100 isn't an appreciable investment. It's a start - £100 a month, now we're talking - but from anything short of outright gambling the interest payments will be pennies.
Go to a casino, put it all on red. Or buy 131 scratchcards (do they still cost a pound each? I'm out of touch). The best P2P rates I've found are around 20%, at that risk you're almost expecting a default though.
Unless of course it was a typo and OP meant £131.2k.: )0 -
Invent time travel, go back and bet on Wimbledon to win the FA Cup within the next 10 years
Then invest those winnings in Apple shares a few years ago.
That should take you past your first billion.
Unfortunately that won't cover your development costs.0 -

If you're willing to tie it up for 5yrs, give it to me.
I'll return it in five years time and guarantee a minimum of 25% per year return............. Less administration fees of course, of £100 pa.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

The OP wanted to wait 5 years, I think they might have serious problems if it was still there 5 years from now!bowlhead99 wrote: »Stick it up your bum.

If that really is all you have and not just a typo, your options are very limited, other than the obvious fixed term savings which have low interest rates. Wellesley mini bond over 5 years will, possibly, earn you circa £35 less tax over that time but you have no protection. You could be frivolous and spend the £31.20 and buy £100 of premium bonds and pray for a win. Or add £18.80 to your holding and buy £150 worth and pray for a win.0
