Parent company website appears to still work.

Their accounts look awful though (so they might not be long for this world).
  • They closed earlier this year.

    I've been Money Tipped!
They were brilliant fantastic delivery and many special offers. I promised to get prices for a neighbour yesterday and like you I could not find the website. Can anybody suggest an alternative of equal quality please, diolch yn fawr.
  • We use Verdo tried many heat logs and found these to be one of the best

I got a large order direct from verdo this year but previously bought a few packs from home bargains

  • I used to sell firewood and briquettes - and we sold UK heatlogs for one season only. I wasn't impressed with them at all to be honest and neither were our regular customers who I offered them to as a cheaper alternative to what they normally had. Far too soft and prone to taking up moisture from the atmosphere which meant the boxed ones tended to split their boxes. Sold what we had and never bought any more.

The Hotties they all preferred (and went straight back to) were a fair bit more expensive on the face of it, but most of them - and we ourselves for that matter thought they actually worked out cheaper to use as they lasted so much longer.

We go for Verdo from Home Bargains £2.79 for a pack of six from the shop, or £279 for a pallet of 96 packs delivered (works out at £2.90 a pack).

We cannot accomodate a pallet full so I order 24 packs on-line and pick them up from the shop. Be careful though, they weight 10kg a pack so 24 packs is a quarter of a tonne, so make sure your car can take the weight if you are collecting a few packs.

Shouldn't be a problem if you distibute the load. I weigh (more or less) 80 kilos. Load some in the passenger footwell and front seat. Similarly distribute the weight over the rear likewise and you should be fine, even in a smaller car. Do allow for greater braking distances though: I do even with only half that weight!
