I bought on line Feburary 2016 a Lenovo Laptop from John Lewis.
September 2016 the L on the keyboard is faulty.
They offer to repair.
Can I ask for my money back?
Can I replace it for a new one?
What do you think Guys?:money:

Your purchase is outside of the 6 month period so as JL have stated only a repair unless you get a independent check done{at your cost} to prove it was faulty when you bought it
Can I ask for my money back? {you can ask but the likely answer will be no}
Can I replace it for a new one? {No}0 -

OP what exactly is wrong with the L key? Is it not coming up when you press it, is the button not pressing, is the button sticking....what?
In other words, is there any chance that cleaning it out could solve the problem?You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
I lived in the UK until retired then moved to Spain. Purchased a Lenovo from the UK last September and recently (last week) the battery stopped functioning for no reason so can only use the laptop with mains cable. I emailed the supplier who stated I needed to contact the Lenovo Support in the UK as it was their responsibility. I telephoned Lenovo (333 number) and after around 30 mins speaking with someone who would only say he was called 'Alex?' said he would email me some suggestions to try - that was 3 days ago and still no email. I have looked on the Lenovo forums and discovered this same battery problem is very common, people who have sent their laptops to be 'repaired?' have waited more than 2 weeks before it was returned but without the problem being resolved. Other comments about the poor Lenovo customer support.
I do not relish the thought of having to send my laptop to be 'repaired?' and having to wait for a minimum of 2 weeks - I asked if it was possible they - supplier/Lenovo send me a new battery and I would return the original battery but got negative responses to this.
Obviously the laptop is still well within warranty..
Any suggestions on how to proceed with this would be more than welcome..

Please start your own thread rather than drag up an old one, which I suspect was a not-very-funny joke by the OP (note the number of Ls in the post!).0 -
Buy a replacement battery?
Or is it a charging problem? (i.e. the charging circuit on the laptop board is not, well, charging the battery)0 -
I'm new to this site, I cannot see anything which says create a new post? hmmm.. Buy a new battery? I would ask the following to this repy: If you buy a new car and find the battery is not charging and is flat after a couple of months - would you buy a new battery or take the car back to the dealer and ask them to change the battery or check why the battery is flat? What would your response be if the dealer said you have to take the car to the manufacturer? Just a thought...;)0
