I would uninstall avg too and install bitdefender free version.


Always makes me chuckle when i see multiple AV's on a system, dont know why !!


I would swerve that dodgy sounding office download too, it could be something sinister in discuise.
Did the owner of the computer have office installed originally ?


If you have no license key, then its either buy new office, or use a free alternative ..
such as https://www.libreoffice.org/

Im going to let AVG finish first and then will do bit defender,
Yes they had office installed originally but she doesnt know where her product key is.Has schoolwork on that she cant access now so will give libre office a go until she hopefully finds her key

Thank you so much I have removed avg, Mcafee, Norton and about to install bit defender. Will then try to get her office key.
So want to try fix this for her.

Im guessing you forgot to UNTICK the option of a free trial of the pro version ?


Just uninstall malwarebytes - reinstall it in a few weeks when you need it again

Yes i did but thanks , so appreciate your help found that she had downloded a p2P site on 05/09/16 and it seems to have brought a multitude of nasties that i am slowly getting rid of.
