Sports direct bad return refund policy

Options
my recent purchase return in the next day experience was really bad with them. I was told as per the company policy they can't refund the money instead they can issue voucher for the money and can buy something else in their shop only. I am not sure they can have this policy as this is completly against customer statutory rights.

Was the item faulty, or had you just changed your mind? If the latter, and you purchased in store, then by offering you a voucher they are actually exceeding your statutory rights, rather than denying them.

If you purchased the item in store then you don't have an automatic right to a refund. It depends on the stores refund policy.
    Come on you Irons

I'm astonished that anybody would expect anything different from SD, have you all failed to watch the news for the last few months? Going there in the first place was your big mistake. The only way to deal with someone like Ashley is to vote with your feet.

It may be, but it's accidental. In fact I dislike NUFC as a team to about the same degree as I dislike MA as a person/businessman.

Thats correct, if you buy online the terms state you have to send it back to there warehouse for a cash refund , most stores do take returns but only offer a credit note

I remember a while back Sports Direct refused me a refund for a faulty item. I simply repeated my statutory rights and insisted I would sue them if they did not refund me immediately. It probably helped that there were other customers within earshot who were waiting to be served.

Sometimes you just need to stick to your guns.
