Service has left my car vibrating

The MOT shows a clean bill of health, not even an advisory note about misfiring whilst accelerating or rough vibrations when idle.
Im just concerned il be asked to pay for more repairs + losing money through pay (visiting garage will mean time off work) and my question is- has anyone claimed through their mechanics insurance?0 -
Just thought i'l add, garage runs a small viehcle parts shop who are aware i returned on the day was advised to return on Monday when the mechnics are back.
I guess i want to know if i can claim on their insurers for my engine being ruined? (if they deny liability or responsibility)0 -
no , because a sensible person would not use the car if there was a fault showing on the dash , without SPEAKING to the MECHANICSave a Rachael
buy a share in crapita0 -
Not sure if thats a good enough reason. It came on as I drove off, the mechanic told me it would for a bit. But the vibrations were not normal.0

So as the poster above asks , why keep driving it?
People cannot be that thick!, lights do not come on for no reason.
Is this the Yaris or Beamer?0 -

If you go to a regular dealer and ask for an MOT and service, then they normally do the MOT first, and then do the service.
That way they know if there's anything wrong that needs looking at before they start doing the servicing.
So it's quite possible that the car could have a passed MOT and then have something done wrong during the service. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Im not sure who whispered to you that I am still driving my car like a minicab. I drove from and to garage yesterday for the MOT and service and then to report fault. That seems sensible enough to me.
You obviously aint good at reading. Sorry. Please only comment if you have any experience.0 -

Yeah, nothing was wrong. And even if there was then it just got worse with their service.0 -

Assuming the garage acknowledge the fault with the car and don't offer to fix the issue free of charge, you would need to make a claim to the small claims court. I don't think you can just contact a garages insurers.0
