Barclays Charges Claim Success. Massive Thanks

I submitted a claim for myself through the resolver template against a Barclays additions account I'd had around 4 years ago and received a cheque about 3 weeks later for £780.
I then asked my mother if she paid for her account who replied "i don't know, I'll have to check"
After she had checked she confirmed she was also was paying for her account, so I asked for how long and why. Her response to my disgust and shock was "I thought I had to and don't remember ever agreeing to it." She had been clearly been miss sold. I could not believe it!
It turned out her account had been open for 20 years! With the fee being paid monthly ever since it had been opened. I completed the same resolver Template for her and submitted it. She received a call to confirm everything from the bank 3 days later (submitted on weekend). And after checking her account today, she found they had transferred £3614.24!!! The day following the phone call!
So again, I would like to say a massive thank you to your website/team!
£4394.24 for just submitting 2 forms from your site. :T  :T

If I was cynical, I'd say the above post was simply a promotion of the Resolver company. If I was cynical0

Errm .... this is a MSE free tool !

If you've read the above and think you've been mis-sold a packaged bank account you can make a claim using our new free online reclaim tool. Alternatively, you can use our free template letter.
Is there an "egg on face" emoticon?0 -

Egg on face for you maybe.
Resolver is not an MSE tool, it's an independent company part owned by MoneySupermarket (the comparison site that owns MSE) via the 24% share holding MSE bought (for free it seems) which means they make money from dividends etc. Resolver currently has limited revenues but the data collection and selling angle is an easy one for the site to exploit to cross sell indirectly (personal details are not sold)
There is also an existing thread where people can post about successes, a new post is not needed.
As an aside the title should be "Barclays Premium Current Account Success", NOT charges. Charges are a separate issue, people who signed up for packaged accounts are unrelated to people getting billed for going overdrawn etcSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

There is no need for any complainant to involve a third party. The MSE template letters are more than sufficient for anyone who struggles to write their own
I've seen quite a few posts here extolling the "virtues" of Resolver, suspiciously written in the same style...0 -
Hi,
My case is similar to you mums, banked with Barclays since 1993. Don't know how I came to have additions, thought I had to pay for my account.
What did you put on your resolver form as the reason for being mid-sole?
Did you just say that she didn't remember agreeing to it and that she thought she had to? Or did you put more than this?
Thanks0 -

You have your own thread already, you should be honest on the complaint, not use other people's detailsSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

Not sure what information you are basing your advice on……
Which Barclays account are you referring to? OP had a Barclays Additions account?
The OP talked about "Barclays Charges Claim Success" - charges refer to things like a charge for going overdrawn, a packaged account has a monthly fee. OP complained about a packaged account and won the cost of the account back, NOT chargesSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

Doesn't answer the issue I had with your post.Egg on face for you maybe.

Barclays Premium Current Account? Why were you advising OP to title their thread about an account they didn't have? What is a Barclays Premium Current account?0 -
Not sure why this thread topic is even being discussed still ? The OP last posted in September last year and the last post prior to the "bump" was also in September.
OP has not been active on the forum since.0
