    From MSE
The cheapest tends to be Trivago* – it covers over 250 different brokers.
To broaden your search, try TravelSupermarket*.
For extra discounts, free stays and member-only prices, check Hotels.com*.

Just to muddy the issue, different Trivago sites may show different offers.

I once booked a Cape Town hotel using a German agent via trivago.de for much cheaper than via trivago.co.uk or elsewhere.
  • I have searched Trivago numerous times but ended up going to my favoured Hotels.com. Last year I came across LMT Club and now my first choice. This is an American site but if you have a commission free credit card you wont pay any extra fees.

Don't Trivago, Hotels and Expedia share an owner ...

Hotels.com is a brand of (and owned by) Expedia. Expedia owns around 62% of Trivago, with the remainder owned by the Trivago founders. They are currently planning to float Trivago on the stock market as a separate company.
