Thanks guys - Well done on your £12 redo! I'm wonder if PA will neglect me for a bit now that that I've been paid out?:)Sun_Addict wrote: »I think the week dragged too - maybe because it was the first full week after Easter. I love getting out the summer clothes/sandals and packing the winter ones away
Hi SA - I sorted out the shoes - one pair of sandals will go to the dress agency - was worn once but feel a bit tight. I'll have to buy a new pair of low black sandals for work though.
Last night I decided to watch the new series 'The City and The City" on BBC2 - was totally enthralled and ended up bingeing on the whole four episodes on Iplayer! I've downloaded the novel on kindle so that will be my next read!
I met my friend for brunch today - it was quite warm though misty so we sat outside the cafe and looked over the estuary. Lovely after all the grotty weather during the past week. However it suddenly went overcast and the wind sprang up so we put our coats on! Nice to eat outside in the fresh air though.
I've updated my savings fund as the PA cash hit my bank plus a Tilly tidy.
Next week is going to be spendy as it's birthday week! Friday lunchtime I'm out with work girlfriends and in the evening out with friends I used to work with. Saturday evening I'm out to dinner with my local friends! Plus cakes to buy for work as well! Nails, hair and pedicure too! Roll on payday!
Relaxing with the TV again tonight! Work tomorrow - bah!:(Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Hi brizzle - have been wearing lots of light clothes during this glorious week. Wore nice shocking pink linen jacket on one day - really made me feel summery! Unfortunately though my feet have become rather soft what with the pedicures and wearing boots for all these months so at the end of the first day of wearing sandals my feet had really rubbed and were quite sore!
Good for you with the flask of coffee! Luckily for me the train company turned on the air conditioning since Thursday so didn't swelter!HairyHandofDartmoor wrote: »You're going to have a lovely weekend celebrating with all your friends SSG.
I've had a great week Hairy. Went to a yummy cheese and wine place on Friday lunchtime with my work girlfriends - sat outside in the sunshine - they were so sweet and wouldn't let me pay. Met a couple of other friends who I used to work with in the evening and then had a lovely Italian meal last night with my local friends. Brunch this morning with another girlfriend - sat out looking over the estuary in the sunshine and am now slumped on the sofa! I received some lovely presents so feel very fortunate.:).
But as a result it's hardly been a Scrimpy week! Dont really care as it's my birthday but have to knuckle under a bit now. It's pay day on Wednesday so will be juggling a few things - I can put my kitchen money away now as my bonus is being paid. My yearly eye test is coming up soon so will inevitably need a new prescription!:(. I've also ordered some sandals and trousers from Evans - but they were a need and not a want. I can fund these and any new glasses from the bonus.
Also received my top Cashback payment so updating my savings signature.
Back to work tomorrow:(. Hope everyone makes the most of this lovely sunshine! Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thank you so much Hairy (and the cake looks delicious!)
I can't believe I've reached 63 though! I'm afraid the mind is still willing, but the body is definitely getting weak!:DFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

I know the feeling SSG !. Today I would have liked to do some gardening or go out to an NT place, but felt too tired after yesterday. My mind was keen but my body wasn't able to keep up
.
Still it's how old we feel that's important.
