Hi @beanielou @Sunshine_girl2 @HairyHandofDartmoor @doingitanyway and @Skinnylatte
Thanks for your posts and asking about my friend – she is slowing getting back to normal. She's eating a lot better and said she would like to clean the kitchen floor only she still's not quite up to it yet! Still at least the spirit is willing – she said she wouldn't have even bothered about thinking about cleaning last week!
My big news is – I'VE ACTUALLY SENT MY RESIGNATION LETTER TO HR! 🥳🥳🥳. My official leaving date will be 30 April! My colleague who we were hoping would agree to take over my role has confirmed she would be happy to do this so that is a big weight off both my own and the boss's mind. HR is looking into a few things for me like winding up my workplace pension and looking into if I can carry on my medical insurance with the provider without losing the inclusion of existing health conditions benefit, but they will come back to in due course.
DD wanted to know whether I've got a bucket list of what I want to do when retired – I said I can't really get into the swing of that whilst we're all still in lockdown – at the moment I'll just be happy to know when I can travel to see her and meet up with other family and friends.
I'm still waiting for my Covid jab – though my older friends have either had it or been offered a date. Hopefully it won't be too long before I know about mine. I'm hoping that I'll be able to start filling up the calendar with things in the not too distant future. January had nothing but birthdays pencilled in and February looks the same!
SCRIMPY MSE THINGS
Not a lot has been going on here - I've bought a few downloads (films, Itunes), a couple of books on Kindle and some cards and an Amazon voucher for DD's OH's birthday. Also a donation on Justgiving in respect of my colleague's husband as the family wanted donations to the hospital that looked after him through Covid rather than flowers at the funeral. I also put a bit more into the pension when I got paid last week – including the extra cash this month through not paying the Council Tax as I pay over ten months.
Anyway it's the end of the working week – yippee! 🥳

Pleased to hear your friend is on the mend. Noticing dirty floors is a good sign indeed.
I’m pleased you have got a date to retire. You sound very organised and once this COVID mess is over you’ll have a whale of a time meeting up with your daughter.
