Losing email address

If you switch to a new broadband address will you automatically lose the email address from the old broadband supplier? If so is there an easy way to send a new email address to all your important contacts?
Thank you

Do they have a website where you can log-in to get your e mails?
If not consider changing to web based email such as gmail or hotmail.

    Not always.

When leaving SKY you can retain your SKY email address.

As above its a not always and sometimes you will retain the address for months or years until a block deletion of old accounts .
  • NEVER use the ISP email address.
I don't know why they bother giving them out any more.

A free, web based option, Like Outlook or Gmail are much better and easier to store email.

You can look at a client, such as Outlook (client) or Thunderbird, which should allow you to add multiple email addresses. Then you can drag/drop email to different places. It's a lot of work, but will be the best way of transferring emails without messing about forwarding them.

You may also be able to use Outlook (web-based) or Gmail to "sync" with your ISP account. It'll grab all the contacts automatically. Then you'll be all set.
